Problem with Filter Results

I am just trying the demo - day 1 hour 2.  Created an ODBC link to an Access database.  Setup as my default.  Created my first report from one table and with three fields.  So far so good.

When I go to filter results, it only lists 40 fields in my table.  But I want number 52 or so.  It showed just fine in the Select data items but I cannot see it in the filter results.  After showing 40 fields of my selected table, it lists additional tables .

Re: Problem with Filter Results
Are you referring to the fields shown in the filter dropdown? If so, two things: 1. The initial list of fields shows only the fields from the tables involved in the Request itself. Are all of the fields part of the same Access TABLE? Then they should be listed right there. 2. If you have other tables that you want to filter on, they should appear in the data item groups right underneath the entry.

Problem with Filter Results

Yes I am referring to the fields in the filter dowpdown.  One of the fields I want to filter using is one of the three fields I previously requested in the report.

What I see is a total of 40 fields, from the table I have selected and selected fields from, but the field I want to filter on is not shown.

Also, fyi, the drop down list for filter selection contains MANY fields in the table that I have not selected for the report.

Your #2 is not applicable to my situation.

Re: Problem with Filter Results
OK. Open the data dictionary for the data items that are not appearing or right-click on the data items in the (Select data items) tab and choose Edit. Then verify that their Allow Filter option (this is available on the Filter tab in the Edit Data Dictionary screen) is marked to allow filters. If you are seeing some values in the filter drop-down but not those, that is likely the problem.
