Problem with Joins

It seems that when we try to create a report with more than one join we get the message:

One or more JOINs has been added or deleted since you last modified the default JOINs.  Please recheck the custom JOIN before running this request.

The joins used are the same as the ones setup in the relationship builder and there have been no changes made to these.  I assume the custom join is created when the data items are brought into a report.  As these items are in the same order as the joins in the relation table I do NOT understand this message or what to do to get rid of it.

Re: Problem with JoinsThi
This may be related to the above problem.

In the JOIN we have mostly INNER and a few LEFT OUTER joins.  When we use items from a table in a LEFT OUTER join, the SQL command has an extra "AND" in it between the JOIN and the FILTER portion of the WHERE clause causing an error.

Re: Problem with JoinsThi
Hi Babara,

The problem is due to two possible things:

a) a table was added (which created a join), the join was modified to an outer join and then the table was removed but Foxfire! still wants to use the older join

b) a setting in the request telling Foxfire! to use older Foxfire! 3.0 compatibility

If you download the latest version, from the same links in your emails, this scenario should be resolved.

Re: Problem with Joins
Hi Andrew,

I'd love to download again but I keep getting an error when I try to do so.  I enter in my order number and my email and get the following error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0005'

Invalid procedure call or argument: 'Mid'

/ff/download.asp, line 31

Thanks

Barb

Re: Problem with Joins
Sorry Barbara, (wow - I'm saying that a lot today)

I had meant in your original download letter but the link is here.

I will get that other issue fixed.
