joining databases + math

Hello,

I'm still fiddling with this to be able to make use of it.  I have two ongoing challenges:

  • I would like sometimes to generate a report that has information from two separate databases.  The two databases don't have to interact or anything, but I need both sets of information on it.  How can I do that without foxfire going nuts?
  • My second one is probably simpler.  I've messed around with it enough to be able to add sets of data on the same report and that sort of thing, but sometimes I need to do a constant equation on the same table.  e.g. I need a certain piece of information to always multiply by .04 or add $100 or whatever.  How can I do that?

Thank you for your help.  It would be most appreciated.

Chantal

Re: joining databases + math

Hello,

O.k. I thought it was a math problem in general, but the multiplication seems to work find and adding to pieces of data adds fine.  But for some reason, i can't add a static number, like say even 1 and have the math be right.  If I add one, it spits on an additional 110.

Also, how do I create a subreport?    I know these might seem like basic questions, but I'd appreciate the help.

Thanx.

Chantal
