dateadd.prg not found
I have recently been trying to make a report that will use the current date minus 90 days as a filter condition.

To that end, I used  DATEADD(dd,-91, GETDATE()) in the Expression Builder dialog box for our Date of Service data item.

This works, but only sort of. When I run the report with this expression in the Expression Builder , I get an error box with the following info:

Program: ODBC_GENFILT
Line: 6553
Variable 'Dateadd.prg' is not found.

If I hit the Ignore button twice, the report then proceeds to run and give me the output I need. (After the first hit of the Ignore button, the Line: changes to 6555, the second time I hit Ignore it runs the report successfully.)
I am trying to understand why the error is happening.

We are using Foxfire version 6.06, and our database server is running MS SQL Server 2005 Standard.

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks.

Mike

Re: dateadd.prg not found
Hi Mike,

It looks like this may be a problem with the way the filter is formatting the request in Foxfire! 6.06. Have you tried creating a Data Item named Current Date - 90 days with that expression in it and then in your request, change the filter to using THAT data item (for the value) instead of the expression?

I'm looking into the error but I believe that should offer you a good workaround - and it would also allow users to easily add this to other requests as needed.

Re: dateadd.prg not found
Sorry I've been busy and haven't had time to remember to actually check this thread.

Thanks for the reply.

Actually, that worked like a charm.

Thanks for the workaround suggestion!

FWIW I've tried using other SQL expressions in the Expression Builder box and I always got errors similar to that one. I hope this can be fixed in an update of some sort, but for now creating data items to use as filter expressions seems to do the trick.

Thanks again!
