May I know that do you have any purchase options that comes with full foxfire sources? I remember in foxfire 6.04, you have such purchase options.

Foxfire! 8.0 Developer Edition comes with all of the source code for the Designer portion of the tool; source code for the Query/Licensing engine and Admin tools are not included and there are a few reasons for this.

1. Foxfire! has never included the source for the proprietary query engine which it uses. In previous versions, this was simply one file. In 8.0, the logic has been expanded into a single APP. If you need to create your own query processing either before or after Foxfire! has run, you may do so within the FFCONFIG file by referencing the BEFORE SQL and AFTER SQL phases.

2. The 8.0 Admin tools have been rewritten in a way that developers can modify and create their own admin tools and update the admin screen with them. In addition, we are redesigning many of the Admin tools for a future update and did not want to provide additional code that would likely not be helpful to developers and result in confusion. The end result is that the source code provided will let you recreate the Request manager and the designer tools as well as customize the way reports are designed and executed.

It would depend on the types of changes you made. Under 8.0, the entire user experience has changed so those various areas would need to be relooked at. FFPDF is no longer required to generate PDFs, and the generation of reports is now handled under a class library.

However we do have customers who are actively making changes in the source on 8.0 without too much trouble.
