Using Foxfire with Visual Studio VB.net

I am a current user for more than 10 years since FF v2.5.  I am currently using FFV3 and FFV6 for my

applications.  My details are :

                Name                    :  Alan Wong

Company             :   UCD Software Sdn Bhd

                State/Country   :   Selangor, Malaysia

I am a software developer writing  customized software for clients. Since 3 years ago, we

have started to shift developing using Visual Studio 2005/2008 with MS Sql 2005 Express database.

My questions are :

      Window Desktop Version

1)       Is your WinForm version written in Visual Foxpro V9 or in VB Net?

2)      I am looking at the partnership “Product Integration” like my present business model.

How will be your licensing scheme be,  if the client requires to customize the reports themselves

And if I just include the reports and changes make by us.

3)      Will they be problems for VB.Net application ‘calling’ your FF8 report writer.

WEB Version

1)      How will be your licensing scheme be if we install it together with our ASP.Net application

a)      On our client own server

b)      On a hosting company

2)      Will the licensing fee be based on the number of concurrent access to the applications reports via this FF8  be on :

a)      clients employees  Less than 20  employees

b)      Between 20  - 50 employees

c)       Members > 50

3)      Do I need to upgrade to both  2 versions?  What will be my upgrade price or will it be free (compliment) via your forum?

I can give you my FFV3 & V6 serial no. for your reference privately via email.

Re: Using Foxfire with Visual Studio VB.net
Sorry for the delay in responding Alan. I'll respond to the one technical question as I know our sales team is responding on the other questions. Foxfire!/Windows is written in VFP 9. It can be called directly as part of an existing VFP 9 application or separately as its own executable. In the scenario of a VB.Net application as you described, you would call it with a Shell out command to a separate executable.
