which version to buy
This is to share some question and answer I have with Mr. Chick.

First Question:

Can you help to advise which version I need to
purchase. Designer Adminstrator or the Developer
Edition.

My intended application as follows:

I have an application program written in FoxPro 2.6
for DOS. I will design some forms, e.x. quotation,
statement or invoice and want to output the report
as PDF file. This application is for our in house
purpose only.

Thank you.

2nd Question:

Do I also need to purchase design
administrator version too ?

Thank you.

Chick's Reply:

The Developer Edition includes everything in the Designing
Administrator. If you get it, you have everything you need to set up
and
maintain custom Foxfire! reporting environments.

The Designing Administrator was intended to be for users who need the
additional to maintain the Foxfire! system tables, in addition to
designing reports. Unless you have remote users who need that ability,
they should only need Designer licenses or Runtime licenses.

Designer licenses can be purchased in conjunction with your Developer
Edition for in-house use by additional designers (as I described
previously). Or you can buy them in a 3 license bundle ($395) or a five
license bundle ($495).

Runtime licenses are free at this point.
