Re: Integrate FoxFire into my application
You won't be able to run Foxfire! in FoxPro 2.6. There are a few solutions:

One would be to have your FoxPro 2.x application call Foxfire! as a separate executable and then run the report.

The other would be to purchase Adobe Acrobat or another PDF printer generator (there are a few free ones available online if you search) and then choose to print from them as a printer.

Re: Integrate FoxFire into my application
Thank you for the reply. Can you explain how to call Foxfire as an executable file. Which is briefly mentioned in help file. But no instruction. I tried to call ffstart within Foxpro 2.6 for windows, still receive 'WRONG VERSION" error message. Can you help me ? Thank you.

Re: Integrate FoxFire into my application
Dear Chick:

Just hope my understanding is wrong. I got the impression from your previous messages that I can integrated FOXPRO 2.6 for windows or even FOXPRO 2.6 for DOS with FOXFIRE 8+. But I got a error result (Wrong Version object file or executable file) Further form the suggestion from Andrew M indicated that I CAN'T call FOXFIRE 8+ in my foxpro 2.6 for window application. Can you kind enough to clarify whether I CAN run FOXFIRE 8+ within my FOXPRO 2.6 for Window, if so, how to do it. Thank you very much.

Re: Integrate FoxFire into my application

It may be that my understanding was wrong. I did not understand that you wanted to run Foxfire! v8+ directly from a FPW or FPD 2.x app. I thought you were asking whether it could be run *in a similar fashion* to how earlier versions of Foxfire! that were compatible with FPW or FPD apps could be run.

Earlier versions of Foxfire that were compatible with those versions of FoxPro could be called either from within a compatible app or as a standalone directly from DOS or Windows in conjunction with a set of compatible FoxPro libraries.

Likewise, Foxfire! v8 can be called the same ways, but only from versions of FoxPro or FoxPro apps that it is compatible with (i.e. vfp 8 or 9).

So if I gave you the impression that v8+ would be directly from a FPW or FPD app, I apologise for that. It can be bundled with the vfp 8 or 9 runtime libraries and called that way as Andrew spelled out earlier.

If that is not satisfactory for your needs, we will cheerfully refund your full purchase price. Sorry for any confusion. I created.

Re: Integrate FoxFire into my application
Dear Chick:

Thank you for your straight forward answer. If I can't call foxfire within my foxpro 2.6 application. Then foxfire will not be able to help my situation. Please advise what should I do to apply for refund. Thank you.
