If I have hundreds of customers using my new software, who also need to design their own reports, what licensing options are available? The $395.00 Designer/admin license is a bit steep considering the single-unit price of my software. Any multi-purpose discounts?
We certainly have volume discount programs, depending on actual volume purchased at the same time. (I don't know what you mean by "multi-purpose" discounts).
And keep in mind that although runtime users each need their own license, there is no cost of these. So subtract out all those users from the discussion.
Next consider this: do you really want users to have administrative permissions? If not, you may be able to get by with a bundle of designer licenses at each site ($395 for 3 designers, $495 for five designers - at the same customer).
